An assistive technology specialist at the heart of the battle to prevent office workers suffering RSI has held the first workshop of its kind in the region.

Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) develops as a result of repetitive movements when using a computer keyboard and mouse.  Forceful movements on the keyboard, awkward or static posture and insufficient recovery time add to the combination of factors.

This month the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) urged government and employers to take greater steps to protect workers in all industries from repetitive strain injury (RSI).

A pilot programme developed in conjunction with The Wilberforce Trust Charity and the RNIB is being launched this month to help people with sight problems.
