The Worshipful The Mayor of Rotherham, Councillor Ann Russell, made the presentation of the ISO9001 certificate to Oxley & Coward’s Senior Partner, Barry Long, at a ceremony at Oxley & Coward in Rotherham recently.

Barry Long said: “The accreditation rewards three years’ hard work by our Quality Committee and all our staff in making sure that our policies and procedures are in good shape and that we are providing clients with the best possible service. Everyone at the firm has been involved in the process at some level and we are naturally chuffed that all our hard work has been finally rewarded with a successful ISO9001 audit.

It is a requirement of being a member of LawNet, that any member organisation should work towards ISO9001 accreditation as soon as possible. Oxley & Coward is LawNet’s representative in the Rotherham area and it embarked on the process of acquiring the
ISO9001 : 2000 accreditation in 2005. Oxley & Coward was founded in 1791 and notably in 1914, Oxley & Coward’s partner, P Bancroft-Coward, was himself the Mayor of Rotherham.
